Hello

GAN meets Creative Sark

Guernsey Art Network

Guernsey Art Network (GAN) is a Registered Charity, (CH555) set up by volunteers who are all locally based artists. Our Patron is The Lieutenant-Governor - Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell CB, CBE

We aim to help promote artists who live and work in Guernsey and the Bailiwick, making art accessible to everyone. We do this by organising exhibitions, workshops, talks, pop up shops and much more.

If you are an artist in the Bailiwick and would like an artist profile page, please get in touch.

Art Foraging with Athene Sholl

Tuesday 6th May 6-8pm

Meet at Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, Business Development Centre Market Buildings GY1 1HE, Guernsey

Come along with artist Athene Sholl as she ‘forages for inspiration’ in unlikely places around St Peter Port. There’s a huge wealth of intricate detail hidden in plain sight throughout the natural world.
I’ll show you how to notice and pick out some of those finer details and then how to go about translating some of those discoveries into design elements that you can use for an enormous range of different applications. From interior design to jewellery. No experience needed.
We will be walking around town for the first hour of this session, please dress for the weather on the day. Maybe bring a bag/rucksack/camera/sketch book/ pencil.

Please note that access is from the door in Fountain Street and that the inner street will be closed at this time.

With thanks to Guernsey Arts for their support and sponsorship.

Collages by Louise Hill

Guernsey Chamber of Commerce Rolling Exhibition

Monday - Friday 9am-4pm

We're delighted to feature Louise Hill as our latest artist in our rolling exhibition at the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce Headquarters.

Louise is exhibiting a collection of her collages, each piece begins with a full acrylic underpainting, from there Louise searches for different colours and patterns in the pages of magazines. She tears out the elements and layers them on to her paintings.

Want to Host a Skillshare Session?

If you are interested in running your own workshop we would love to hear from you. Any type of creative practice goes - knitting, painting, drawing, sculpture, abstraction, realism the list goes on! We cannot keep running these amazing workshops without Artists to facilitate them (and the wonderful attendees).

The artists running the events are paid for their time and costs of materials are covered.

Even if you’re interested but have some questions before committing, feel free to email gan@gan.org.gg and we can discuss further. Ultimately, Artists, GAN needs you!
